Hostinger Headless FAQ
What headless solutions does Hostinger offer?
Hostinger supports two headless paths today: headless ecommerce and headless WordPress.
- Headless ecommerce. Connect a fully custom frontend to Hostinger Ecommerce through the Hostinger Connector or API, while managing your products, orders, and inventory from one central backend. This works alongside Hostinger’s other storefront options – like the drag-and-drop or vibe coded sites built with Hostinger’s AI Builder – so however you choose to build your frontend, your product catalog, orders, and analytics all stay in one place.
- Headless WordPress. There are two ways to go headless with WordPress on Hostinger. WordPress as a headless CMS – host WordPress on managed WordPress or VPS hosting, and use its built-in REST API to feed content to any custom frontend. Hostinger hosts the backend, you build the frontend your way. Strapi on VPS – a purpose-built headless CMS, ready to go via a pre-installed VPS template. Strapi serves your content through an API that any frontend framework can connect to.
How can I connect my website or app to Hostinger’s headless solutions?
It depends on how you’re building.
If you’re starting from scratch using an AI coding tool like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, press Create project at the top of this page and the Hostinger Headless skill connects your backend automatically. If you’re already building a project with AI tools, connect it with Hostinger Connector instead.
Using a vibe coding platform? Write your prompt right here on this page, and we’ll open it in your platform of choice with your Hostinger infrastructure already connected.
Either way, you get payments, products, content, and more, ready to power whatever you build.
If you’re building a custom frontend for WordPress, host WordPress on Hostinger’s Managed WordPress or VPS hosting, and use its built-in REST API to feed your decoupled frontend.
Can I manage content across multiple sites or web apps?
Yes, for both Ecommerce and WordPress.
Hostinger Ecommerce is built on a headless architecture, meaning your product catalog, orders, and inventory live separately from any single storefront. Connect multiple storefronts – your websites or web apps built with Hostinger AI Builder, WordPress, and more – and they all draw from the same business data, so updates in one place show up everywhere.
If your content lives in WordPress running as a headless CMS, the same idea applies: since it connects through WordPress’s built-in REST API, you can serve the same content to as many sites or web apps as you build. Update it once, and it stays consistent everywhere it appears.
Do I need to be a developer to go headless?
Not necessarily. It depends on the tools you want to use. Hostinger is a great option for developers and freelancers building fully custom frontends for their clients – but if you’d rather skip the code, Hostinger’s AI Website Builder lets you create websites, online stores, or apps with no coding required. Either way, you’re backed by the same Hostinger infrastructure and ecommerce tools behind the scenes.
Is headless solution good for SEO?
Yes, done well, a headless setup can be good for SEO. Building your own frontend gives you full control over your content structure, URLs, and metadata, while Hostinger’s infrastructure keeps pages loading fast with built-in caching, code minification, and automatic image optimization.
If you’re running WordPress as your headless CMS, you also keep WordPress’s own SEO tools and plugins working exactly as they always have, even though your frontend lives elsewhere. And if you’d rather skip the custom build entirely, Hostinger AI Builder comes with built-in SEO tools of its own.
How much does Hostinger headless solutions cost?
There’s no extra fee for going headless – standard plan pricing applies. Visit the Hostinger Ecommerce or Managed WordPress pages for a full pricing breakdown.
