I'm Nicola Asuni (Tecnick.com LTD). For over 25 years I've built and maintained
open-source software, now a portfolio of more than 60 public repositories across PHP,
Go, C, Python, R, and more. A few highlights:

  • PDF & documents: TCPDF, installed 100M+ times across 500+ packages, its modern
    successor tc-lib-pdf, and a family of tc-lib-* libraries (barcodes, fonts, color,
    images, encryption, parsing).
  • Assessment & e-learning: TCExam, a computer-based testing/exam platform.
  • Developer tooling: gogen and other Go utilities.
  • Bioinformatics: VariantKey, a numerical encoding for human genetic variants
    (peer-reviewed, used in genomics pipelines).

…plus dozens more libraries, tools, and applications across these and other fields.

Much of this is infrastructure: thousands of products and research pipelines depend on it every
day. I maintain it as an independent developer working through a registered UK company, so
sponsorship is a straightforward commercial arrangement (proper invoices and contracts), and
every contribution directly increases the time I can put into keeping it secure,
standards-compliant, and maintained.
